I watched a t.v. show on American Muscle Car last night where they took
several popular factory stock motors from the 60's and put them on a
dyno to see just what they produced. They had a 409 and a 427 Chevy,
421 Pontiac, 427 Ford, and a 426 street Hemi. The hemi blew them all
away with 820 H.P. The closest rival was 637 H.P. put out by the 427
Ford. Chevy's L-88 rat motor did something in the low 500's. Hee, hee,
hee.
