Bill, what I do is go to a auto paint store and order a pint of the color
you want for the engine, I always use street hemi orange, then shot the
engine with it, make sure use a hardener and thinner, they can help you out
at the store. I've used this on two Maxies, and it never fades, and has a
clean bright finish...

Subject: Intake Finishes
Since I finally found a stock 4bbl intake, I'm obviously going to have
to paint it. Since no one makes a hi-temp powder coat in red it looks
like I'm stuck w/ "engine paint" or standard powder. How well will
regular powder hold up on and intake? Does anyone have any tips to
getting "engine paint" to actually last and not peel or discolor after
2-3 warm-ups?
