I found a 66 440 Coronet today that showed up on a public parking area since
Monday. The roof/glass was covered with a tarp. There is no engine size
listed on the hood ornament. It has "V8" on the sides of the front fenders.
There has been a inside hood release added. The vin, WH23E6512**** shows it
has a special order engine. It has a 8.75 rear, 727 trans, and unknown if
stock dual exhaust. I can't find the build plant (7th digit) listed. I think
this is going to have a 4 sale sign on it tomorrow. My question is what is a
Special Order Engine, and should I believe is other than a 318 car? The
plates are expired in 93 and the Registered Owner is in prison. I don't know if
the R/O is the current owner. Joe
