took the last couple days off so Iwent on a drive yesterday in the
Dodge.
I wound up at wildcat.
I talked with owner Ed Yost for a bit and he showed me some projects
for sale.
ed was looking a LITTLE SCARY. His hair has grown down to his back
and he was wearing a white headband. and a beard. almost didnt
recognize him. he looked like an old hippy.
He made me an offer I might not be able to refuse.
He has two 69 barracuda fastback Formula S cars :one is a 340/four
speed car and the other is a 340/auto car. Both are real formula S
cars. The fourspeed car is solid as a rock. The auto car came from
across the border in BC. a little rusty.he has the 340 and four
speed for the one although its not the original block though it is
date correct.
his idea is to sell the two together and somebody could use the rusty
auto car as a parts car. 5000 dollars for both . Both have legitimate
titles.
my idea is to restore the four speed car for myself and take the
other one and either sell it for funds or make a whole nuther car out
of it.
hmmm! perhaps i am crazy, but I have always loved these cars and
wanted one, and with them being real 340 formula s cars maybe they
wuld hold some value.
does this sound like the dream of a madman? too big of a project?
wuld that four speed car be a good investment or not considering the
numbers matching engine is gone?
I have a 340 and an automatic sitting here in my shop for that other
one.
I have to re-iterate that the four speed car is very solid. It is all
stripped down with all the parts to the side so u can really see the
skeleton , and I couldnt find anything rusty.
