, yes all 273s had solid cams up to the switch over and used the same
rockers, 2bbl or 4 bbl.
the early 273 also had steel cranks!
my 273 i just love and even in two bbl form in a big coronet i
think it steps out pretty crisply from the light. people wonder
about that clacking sound though when its idling, i have to tell
them about the solid cam.
the best part is in a big ol b-body my 273 knocks down 24 mpg on the
hwy, since i got it all tuned in and rebuilt the carb. and adjusted
the valves, changed all the fluids , etc. think what it culd do in a
dart?
a big roomy car on a road trip and 24 mpg , can u beat that?
