When I am looking for parts for a specific item, if I find too many
things that dont fit my criteria I start filtering those items out.

In you search results, you can use "-" to remove items from the search.  

For example if you add:  -(Chevy, Ford, Shirt, Keychain) 
you can get the results to filter out those 4 words from the results.
