original equipment carter afb's were never given a cfm rating. they were  
rated by sq. in. of venturi. the carbs were given an "alphabetical" designation  
by venturi size. the smallest being an "A" series. the series designations  
ranged from "A" to "E". the "E" being the largest and also referred to as  the 
"daytona" series (3705 as used on stage 3 ramchargers).
