dist. gasket?

Is there supposed to be a gasket for the distributor between the block
and dist. mounting surfaces? I know there's an O-ring
seal but that does not seem to stop oil from leaking out around
the base of my distributor? Maybe I over looked it in the
gasket set I got for my Poly? please advise
