Thanks,
I appreciate you're help. In a '62, I've always heard that the Studs were
CAST INTO the heads.
Is this correct? My heads are at a machine shop currently, so I'll look at
them again next time.
Thanks again!!! Just wondering!!
Kyle

go with the solid. constant valve adjustment was a 1960's problem. anyone
with a chevy and poly-locks shouldn't have a problem. the screw and jam-nut
used
on shaft rockers was never a problem. the ball-stud set up would work loose
and the studs would gradually pull from the heads (screw in solved that
problem). frequent adjustment is usually an indication of improper
adyustment. i have
an engle k-65 solid in the 440 six-pak that powers my 65 coronet. no
frequent
adjustments, smooth relatively quiet operation (assymetrical lobes), very
good
low speed throttle response and driviability. solid lifter valve lash
problems are another chevy problem that mopar folks took "ownwership" of.
