{Chrysler 300} Distributors

All,
I just bought a 1958 300D that has ignition problems.
The previous owner installed a Mallory distributor with a Unilite ignition module.  The coil is producing spark, but it isn't getting to the plugs.
I found what I thought was the original distributor (loaded with a Petronix ignitor and no breaker points) in a box.
This distributor is Autolite IBS-4007, Chrysler 1838822. The club website says it should be an IBS-4007A, Chrysler 1841515.
My question is what are the differences between an IBS-4007 & an IBS-4007A?

Are there any recommendations for a distributor rebuilder who uses a Sun machine to adjust it?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Jim Daniel
