Thanks all. Sorry for the delay.
I bought the oil for the speedometer, will put that in in the next few weeks. I was able to buy the oil off amazon.
I used white lithium grease in the wiper motor, i cleaned up the grease under the switch in the wiper motor and the switch engaged much better.
I made 2 videos of eh wiper switch before and after the cleaning.
I'm going to put the wiper motor back in the car in a week or two.
I'll put a you tube video up of the install too.

Following this conversation. I think I’ll also perform this maintenance while I’m replacing the dash in my 60 F. Should be easy to get to (I hope)

Michael,
On your AstraDome, there's a small wick that requires re-lubrication every so often, depending how many miles you log on your car. It's a bit of a challenge to access, but its function is to lube the speedo mechanism inside the dome. No need to remove any parts
to access this wick - just twist your body around some under the dash and steering wheel. Check your Factory Shop Manual (FSM), if you have one. Let us know if you need copied photos of these pages. Your G used the F's FSM, with a thin Supplement for your
'61.
This may be the source of your whine. Good luck!
Noel
Also should mention- you do not need to remove the speedometer from the Astradome to oil it, but it is a little crowded up under the dash back there. The zoomspout oil has a narrow telescoping
tube that helps get the oil where you need it.

Hi Michael
For the speedometer I have been using zoomspout oil, it’s a light machine oil similar to sewing machine oil. There is normally an oil point on the back of the speedometer:

Good morning. Im stuck and need some guidance on 2 issues I’m working on.
I’m working on 2 issues on the g. The wipers will not turn off, I removed the motor to repair the switch in the wiper motor. What should I use to clean and lube the switch inside the wiper
motor?
The other issue is that there is a whine coming from the speedo it’s gets louder as I go faster. Should I lube the speedo head or speedo cable. If that’s the case what should I use to lube
them.
Thank you all for the help on this. Mike
