I soaked the rear glass gasket of my K for over a week, pushing the Go-Jo into all sides of the gasket. I removed my glass with my fingers from the inside. Once the top came free, it was out. Soaked the gasket for a week in a bag with more Go-Jo and had to scrape the old adhesive off. But it ended up like new.

If you have the time, you could also soak them in lanolin before removal, if they’re really dry. I would imagine that would really help soften them and allow them to slide out easier due to the lubrication.

Quiery got all the extrusions . I just put one in a 60 convertable the other day . If your slow it will take an hour!!!!!!!!

or you can try to make the old one soft again if you have lots of time on your hands.

I start by brushing it on heavily and keeping it in a plastic bag or bin. Keep treating it until it becomes soft and supple again. For me, the worst dried out and hard seals (from a California car) took several months of sitting and soaking to restore but they came back and cleaned up like near new. I did those ones 23 years ago and they’re still nice to this day.

If you’ve already damaged your originals, I’d start looking for a parts car to get them from. And those of you who have parts cars and are removing glass, keep in mind there is/will be value in the gaskets not just the glass.

For 57 and later Mopars, all the repro windshield and back glass gaskets are poor quality. For your 300G, you will have to reuse your gaskets.
