I thought the 4-speed wasn't available with the ram engine because the clutch linkage didn't fit with the cast iron headers.

Missing since 1960, the 4-speed manual transmission returned!

Only minor trim changes were made, mostly due to the new bodies that would be arriving in 1965. 300K production was the best total sales ever, in response to prices reduced by about $1,000, by making some previous letter series standard features now optional.
