The 60 wheels havue four dimples on them to hold covers if you change wheels they will not stay on
My first car was a '64 sport in 1975 and I never had one fall off until I switched to radials. The car had many different wheel covers on it over the years and ended up with the ones from my parents 1964 Pontiac. Those Belvedere ones, along with several other 1960-62 Mopars, don't even have teeth to hold them on. My 1969 NY wagon uses the same wheels as a 300F but the covers hold onto 4 bumps stamped into the rim. I'm using later 15 inch speed Magnum GT wheels with 1959 Imperial wheel covers on it.--On Thu, Mar 6, 2025, 10:32 AM James Douglas <jdd@xxxxxxxxxx> wrote:That is exactly why for the daily driver 300K, I put on some mags. I got tired of chasing hub caps.
Interestingly, yesterday when the guy with the ’64 New Yorker stopped to talk with me is asked specifically do all 1964 hub caps pop off…

Subject: Re: {Chrysler 300} Time capsule found
I've had problems with other Chrysler wheel covers falling off and passing me on the road. Especially after switching to radial tires. But I've not had any worries of my 300F ones coming off with how hard they are to put on and take off.
Michael Van Der Veen and I took a test drive in his 1961 Belvedere for a test drive the other day before shipping it off to Australia and one cover came off and passed us by. A good send off for the car.

I’m guessing he etched this into the hubcap in case it came of so it could be returned. The owner, William Seymour was born in 1915 and died in 1977 in Washington State, which coincides with what the data card says for the initial delivery of the car
