Agree, but I like check,to you---once cleared you got the cash,only takes a day to hold stuff till then. Bigger problem is you send a check, they never send stuff .Happened to me twice..
Hot heads has a list of scammer emails lurking around club sites and their free hemi parts site, one way to handle it, but they jump to new email.One crook used his sisters email, i got all in her face, she knew nothing about parts,but same last name.she admitted she had a "bad brother" had used her computer to send bogus address for check. In retrospect maybe she was in on it. You never know. Has to have the right name on it or he can't cash it. Never went after it, hassle more than the 100$ lost. Sent letter to the police chief in his town, which made me feel better.
If anyone encounters bad stuff maybe we start a bad news list,emails and people's names, index by last name. Hemmings kind of does this too. Another rip off is lying. I bought 392 to 450" stroker crankshaft for 900$, it came badly cracked, guy says tough break for you. jg
