{Chrysler 300} Setting timing on 300C without timing light

Hello All -
Within the last year or so, I recall reading on this list server about a
method of setting the timing on my 300C with the engine running and
transmission engaged in Drive (car blocked from moving!), then adjusting
the distributor advance some way so the engine ran best rpm, etc., but
now can't find that thread, although I sure meant to save it. I had
never heard of it, but several "old-timers" really vouched for it and
expanded on the process. Can anyone please help me recreate that
thread? Is it perhaps in the Technical Archives? - didn't know exactly
what to search for.
