[Chrysler300] Mecum Auction

Interesting note. The Mecum auction scheduled for Des Moines Iowa has 
been cancelled. It seems that the State of Iowa required that the 
sellers transfer the Title of the cars up for sale to Mecum, and 
subsequentially transfer to the buyer. If a car was not sold then the 
seller would have to have the Title re-registered back to the seller. 
According to the news article this is a 70 year old law that has not 
been brought up before. Sounds like a lot of effort, time and money 
for nothing positive to be gained. Also interesting is that the Mecum 
organization was originally started in Des Moines Iowa several years 
ago. Now unless they get things straightened out it may never return to Iowa.

Only in Iowa, 50 years behind the times and proud of it.
