[Chrysler300] 1958 300D BALL JOINTS ???

I bought new upper & lower ball joints they came in a front end rebuild kit from ESPO Springs

The uppers have threads so they can be screwed into the upper control arms

The lowers do not have threads  is this correct?

Also is there a special socket or tool to remove & install the upper ball joint? if so where could I get one?
