Ron,
 
I installed a Pertronix ignition on my 300-C 392 in 2005. The only  
modification I had to make was to slightly elongate the mounting screw hole  with a 
round jewelers file.  Also, I installed a new cap, rotor, wires, and  
plugs. I used the original coil.  This resulted in faster starting, more  power 
and better milage. Still working great!
 
What is your final decision?
