Check Valley Vintage Auto Parts web site, they have the tool you need to remove the fuel
sending unit.    v v a p.com     Counterclockwise to remove.

  A very good year to all
  I want to remove the pickup unit. It appears that it can be removed without removing the gas tank. It doesn't look easy. Is a special wrench used to remove the unit? Does it turn clock wise or counterclockwise? Any suggestions.
