[Chrysler300] What side is the timeing, Mr. Bear?

The shop manual for the 55 Firepower engines shows the timing light aimed
at the left (driver) side of the engine for timing leading one to believe
that the crank pointer should be there also.. The 55 Imperial I am wiring
for member-elect Swensson has the pointer on the right (passenger). What
should I make of this? Do 300's get timed from the passenger or driver
side?
