Tom, 
I understand that this type of additive does not bond with the oil and can leave deposits in some unwanted and wasted places like the filter and oil pan, rocker arms, pushrods, and so on. A processed and formulated oil with ZDDP zinc and other agents such as Kendall GR-1 High Performance (in various weights) costs just 3.65 per quart. Does this make more sense to you?

Actually, right now Eastwood has 4oz ZDDP listed on e bay for $6.95, with free shipping. I use it a lot and this is probably the best price I have seen anywhere.
