Hi Doug, When I bought my 56 Fury It had a Junk title. I had to have a CHP 
officer come to my home and he Checked the VIN plate against the factory hidden 
numbers. It took me almost a month to get the officer out to do this. I don't 
think he liked his job.

Hi Group, 

Has anyone had any experience with registering a vehicle that is missing the VIN 
plate. 

Registration will be in California for a 1962 car with a Washington State title.
