Tom,
Don't bother getting it restored. Contact Al Kvatek at Valley Vintage Auto Parts and get a new reproduction one for like $89 plus change. I did this past December and my gauge reads swell! 300'ly., ROB KERN

Good afternoon everyone out there in 300 Land!!!
My gas gauge has not worked for some time. It either registers completely
full or completely empty - nothing in between. I would assume that it is
the gas tank sending unit. Does anyone out there know whether: (a) they
can be restored and if so where; or (2) where can one purchase a new or
rebuilt one for a 300 59E? Thanks!
