No source, but I remember guidance to see a gunsmith for the springs. And,
perhaps, the springs from similar flappers in Chebby hardtops '51-'57 might
fit.
My question is what to place on the little foot that rests against the top
of the vent window and triggers the flapper to open and close. Is it
supposed to have a hard plastic or rubber cover over the steel to keep it
from eating a hole in the vent window edging? Any neat substitutes
discovered?
Also, is there supposed to be a thin rubber gasket between the flapper
mechanism and the roof edge?

Subject: [Chrysler300] C300 & 300B window flap springs
Hi all,
Does anyone reproduce or have a source for the springs that are used on the
weather "flapper" at the top of the window and part of the body stainless
roof trim that opens and closes when the door opens and closes.? There are
two different ones. One above the wing is one kind of spring and the other
two are in middle and rear of the flap are the different.
Thanks,
John Cote
