[Chrysler300] temp sender question

While fussing with my 62 H I noted the temperature sender has 250 stamped on
one of the flats.
One of my spare senders has 233.
Does anyone know what these numbers mean?
I'd take a guess that 250 means the sender is max at 250 degrees.
If that is true, it would mean a 233 sender would have the dash gauge
register higher.
Also, which sender is correct for the H?
Thanks
Bob
