The 300F listing has been removed already, so I didn't get the chance to see it - but hearing of a Slant 6 300 reminds me of of trip where I took a side road, either in upstate NY or Massachusetts.  
   
  I saw a bunch of older Mopars at a roadside repair shop, and as a 300K-owning teenager in the early '80's, I was curious.  The guy I spoke with really sounded full of himself right off the bat, and started spouting off ridiculous claims, like he raced a Slant Six in a Dart in the early '60's, and it would do a 10-second quarter mile.  And when I asked him if he ever raced 300's, he said he special-ordered a new 300F with a Slant Six, and prepped it so that it was faster than a 413.  Well, even as a polite teenager, and a little wet behind the ears, I had no problem telling him he was full of hogwash.  He told me he owned a big Chrysler dealership in the 50's & 60's and asked if I had ever heard of Hodges Dodges and the Ramchargers.  I said of course, and he said HE was that Hodges!
   
  I just looked at him in disbelief and got back into my car.
   
  Has anyone ever met this guy, or who he claimed to be?
