You'll probably find they are unrearchable (can that really be a word??)
once you get right down to it as they are probably rusted-cracked or
downright broke in the middle under the U-bolts and pads. Been my experience
in most every car I've ever dismantled. You may be able to salvage 1 or 2
leaves at the most.
