Hi Nathan,
I see it three different ways in early road test
photos. Some cars have a pair of copper tubes under
the rams (1). The cars with all rubber hoses either
have both hoses running over the center of the engine,
usually with a bracket/hanger on the coil mount (2).
The others run the one hose that comes off the heater
valve (pass side) to the right inner fender (bracket
here?) around the right carb area, then behind the
alternator to the water jacket (3).
Running it under the carb sounds like a bad idea,
because it will put the hose close to the exhaust heat
tubes.
