William,
Way back when, I replaced my G rear leaf springs with new leaf springs built
to the original specs. The car seemed to "list" to one side, and I
confirmed it by taking measurements at several fixed points to the floor. I
had also just had the front ball joints replaced and the alignment done.
What I thought to be uneven new rear leaf springs, turned out to be out of
adjustment torsion bars up front. The torsion bars were adjusted to the
proper height and balance, the car realigned, and it has been fine since.
My advice is to park the car on a smooth, flat and level concrete garage
floor, and measure from the floor to the points where the springs mount to
the body and from the floor to the center of the wheel opening. The
measurements will tell the story. Chances are you will need to adjust the
torsion bars and re-align the car.
