RE: {Chrysler 300} Re: 300H 0n BaT

In 1962, the digit following the paint codes of convertibles was a 6 for a black convertible top (286) or a 7-White convertible top (287).  Full decode of the VIN & fender tags by my work-in-progress decoder is attached.    Great pix of this rarest of the  rare.  We all hope it draws at least two wealthy and passionate 300 fans.  A rising tide should lift all of our boats.

The 1962 paint code for Festival Red is “P”.  On the fender tags, Chrysler punches the roof color code  first and the lower body color code next.  Even if the car is a convertible. PP1 would be the correct code for a 1962 Chrysler sedan, wagon or hardtop with roof and lower body painted Festival Red.  What a great name for a color.

Question for H experts please: The BaT listing shows the data plate unpainted and the color code as PP7. The data plate on my unrestored H coupe is painted with the factory Festival Red which has the paint code PP1 which I have been told is correct. What's PP& then? The BaT car was early in the run and mine was late.  Did the numbers and or red shade  change?  Thanks for any clarification.
