If there is a stripped adjuster, then the eccentric cam is probably frozen. So I would opt for finding a center support in better condition.

No gasket. But there are tiny rubber seals between the hex adjusters and the backing plate on the inside, in order to keep anything splashed onto the backing plates from entering the assembly.

Folks:
In mid assembly of stock 300 F front drum brakes. Is there a gasket between the backing plate and spindle? Where can I get a proper set of fresh lug nuts 5 with LH threads?
